to struggle with something = to have a difficult time doing something

E.g.

I’m trying to learn Chinese, but it’s not going too good. I’m really struggling.

to throw off = to upset, to shock

E.g. Her comment really threw me off.

to see / not see something coming = when something happens with no warning, out of the blue

E.g.

A: Did you hear about your ex-girlfriend? She’s pregnant.
B: Whoa. I did not see that coming.

A: Honey, I like to wear women’s clothes.
B: Damn, I didn’t see that one coming.

frenzy = madness, rush

feeding frenzy = a mad rush to get food, usually by animals

E.g.

The fish went into a feeding frenzy when the man threw the bread in the water.

I can’t remember when is the last time I loudly laugh, because I laugh like a hundred times a day, and I usually can’t remember why. Thanks to my fish memory, I can laugh about the same thing thousand times.
