Last Saturday night I came back to Shanghai from my hometown. When I arrived at the airport, I took an airport shuttle to my place. When I got off the airport shuttle, I had to walk fifteen minutes to my place. / My place is a 15-minute walk away from the airport shuttle’s downtown terminal / drop-off point. On my way home I felt a little hungry so I decided to go to a restaurant to have dinner. When I opened the door and walked into the restaurant, a restaurant patron told me, “Your wallet was stolen, get out and catch the thief”. So I left my luggage in the restaurant and went outside to catch the thief. The man in the restaurant told me there were three pickpockets, one woman and two men. I didn’t know which way they had gone. So I got nothing. I was angry at that moment. Later when I calmed down a bit, I called all the banks from which I had cards, and I had my cards canceled.  I only had a little over five hundred yuan in my wallet, so it wasn’t a huge loss. The only thing that worried me was the fact that my ID card was in the wallet. My mom helped me to get a temporary ID card and she posted it to me. Today I received it. / It came in the mail today. It was wonderful.
