E.g.: His interest in gastronomy was so great that he had to try a bit of every dish on the menu.

Gastronomical (adj): 1- of or relating to gastronomy.
E.g.: China is a country that offers the most varied gastronomical enjoyments.

Soldier (n): 1- a person who serves in an army.
E.g.: He was a brave soldier during World War II.

To soldier on (v): 1- continue on through difficult times.
E.g.: She felt really tired, but she soldiered on until she finished what she started.

Witty (adj): 1- showing or characterized by quick and inventive verbal humor.
E.g.: She made a very witty remark about the situation.

Pet peeves (n): 1- something that a particular person finds especially annoying.
E.g.: One of my biggest pet peeves is poor customer service.

Fashionista: 1- a person who really likes fashion.
E.g.: As a devoted fashionista, she always followed the latest trends.

Fit to bill (v): 1- to have the qualities or experience that are needed.
E.g.: If you want quieter entertainment, there are many excellent museums in town that will fit the bill.
