Usually I work in SH but now I am at my home,
in SH I do jobs like consulting it sounds a little confused think I want to improve my ability of business English.
I talked it is more like daily or oral English.

She born in Canada and I took my undergraduate in Canada before so we have a similar background.
Typical consulting the consultant usually don’t know the industry perfectly so they should find experts to let them know the industry and my job is to connect them with experts and during the connection we can know basic information.

The industry could be TMT, consumer goods, internet.

investors and consultants both are my clients but I only work with consultants.
I spent 4 years abroad

The whole environment is not good for English speaking so in my daily work life English is not the first language.
My daily life and the business English both of them should be improved.
now some vocabulary I always forget. I think it is important.

the ratio is 7 to 3

I don’t think there is no very good place for hiking.

my job is to connect clients and the experts so I introduce the profile of my expert and what is her or his job background and how they match this topic… I will told them this information.

inside the company I always need the English speaking because our HQ is in London so sometimes we should report to the boss in London so this time the English speaking will be more important.

Roleplay – reporting about turnover 

My boss will report to London but in the future I will report I think.
I haven’t report to them but in the future I will.

For May we hit the target and a little beyond.
In the last month we had a little difficulties. The turnover rate for the company is a little high.
Most new employees they cannot in the company last for 1 year so they will leave and the training cost will be higher.
We train them and they leave. my department is the operation team and it the most important which can bring the main profit so stable turnover is very important.
There are 2 points. Our job is to reach different industries but the knowledge is shallow we cannot do the deep industries like our clients so future development … their direction is to do the consultant so the job is not too match for them.
For their side they cannot get the further improvement for their job

Second is not the salary but they will rotate in the first year. Their clients will be changing like the first 3 months they are consultants and then the investors so the rotation will bring a problem that they won’t belong to any team/ so they don’t have the sense of belonging and continue to rotate.

For the job content we couldn’t change it but the structure we can fix it so I think it is necessary to cooperate with HR department to bring a new system and train them.

In the interview I think HR will told them but the people think I got an offer and we can go to see what is going on but after they train they see it is not too match for me.

I think it is for the junior employees and it is common sense. For typical consulting industry the turnover rate is high. but we still need to lower this rate.

maybe I should need more time to prepare it but I hope it won’t take me much time.

In the last month we had a few difficulties. The employee turnover rate for the company is a little high.
Most new employees leave the company before a full year/ in less than a year

they don’t stay / they are not willing to stay   in the company for 1 year so they will leave and the training cost will be higher / we keep training people that leave.

We train them and they leave. my department is the operation team and it the most important because we close deals and bring profit so stable turnover is very important. / a stable employee turnover means we have a stable and efficient department.

There are 2 points / reasons / factors …
Our job is to reach different industries but the knowledge is shallow  / we never become experts in any of them / we never specialize / we are jacks of all trades and that could be an issue for our  future development / that means we do not have a clear career path …

Their main goal is to become traditional consultants so the position does not match their career goal 

For their side they cannot get the further improvement from their job -> they feel this job is not a stepping stone for their career
