Who are we?

StreetGames is a sports charity that changes lives and communities. We are proud to give young people exactly what they are looking for – the chance to enjoy sport, give back to their communities and aspire to greater things. Seventy-one percent of young people have said that they would like the chance to try more sporting activities, but that they can’t afford to.

What do we do?

‘Doorstep Sport’ is what we do – we bring sport close to home in disadvantaged communities, at the right time, for the right price and in the right style. Sport is great! It provides fitness, fun and friendship opportunities, and since 2007 we have been using it to improve the lives of countless young people. It teaches them skills and knowledge which they can then use to make their own way in life.

What do we offer?

We have been speaking to a lot of young people about sports they would like to be involved in, and these are the answers: boys between the ages of 16 and 19 have voted for playing football, badminton and tennis, going swimming, cycling, running and to the gym and doing adventure sports. The girls have chosen similarly, except for netball rather than football, plus dance and fitness classes. Multi-sports sessions have also proved popular with everyone.

What do we want?

We are bringing sport to your neighbourhood, and we need some assistance. We are looking for young volunteers for this task. We need young people both to take part in our wonderful sporting activities and also to look after and coach the younger children. So, if you are aged 16-19, contact us if you would like to be involved. We need YOU!

My hometown is Shanghai which is an international city. Its traffic are so convenient that you can go to everywhere. In addition, you can scan QR code to buy everything you want, and then you can get more job chances in this city. This city also has some disadvantages. First of all, you have to work harder to pay some daily expenses and some young people have to choose to leave this city in final because of highly prices and pressures. The second is that more and more people drive cars so air is becoming worse and worse. The last point is that Shanghai is an international city, so beautiful scenery is less and less, and you have to take commute to go to nearby prices.

This city also has some disadvantages. First of all, you have to work hard to pay some your bills. Some young people have to leave the city because of the high prices and pressure. The second is that more and more people drive cars so air is becoming worse and worse. The last point is that Shanghai doesn’t have great natural scenery, and you have to fly out of SH to see huge mountains and beautiful lakes.

My hometown is SH, a megacity with more than 24 million people. It is the economic and financial hub of mainland China.

The climate in SH is not extremely with very distinct winter and summer.  Because it is the largest city in Eastern China, natural scenery is rare in SH. SH is known for its unique history. It has been a business center for over 150 years and is home to over 300 international companies. 

With all that said, there are some downsides about SH as well. The first one is its high living cost. You have to work really hard to maintain a decent life in SH. The pace/speed of life is also fast, which produces a lot of pressure for its residents.
