Homework

For many of us, a work diary is a practical thing. We use them for work to make a note of appointments or meetings, scribbling words next to dates to remind us of something we have to do in the future. But journalling is more about feelings. It’s a personal diary, often kept far from prying eyes, sometimes detailing our secrets and desires. But, when it comes to feelings, what are the benefits to writing things down?

Sometimes it can be difficult to say exactly what we’re feeling. Because of anxiety or frustration, it can be tricky to put your problems into words. For some of us, putting pen to paper and jotting down our thoughts is a much easier process than saying them. But it’s not just about the ease of scrawling words. Writing things down can actually help us to formulate ideas, consolidate emotions, and understand our feelings. There’s something cathartic about making sense of something that is stressing us, annoying us, or getting us down. Writing a narrative of events or a series of words about what is on your mind can help you to focus, and is comparable to a form of meditation. And journalling isn’t just limited to words. Why not include squiggles, doodles or pictures of what’s happening in your life? Maybe the thing that is annoying you most could be best summed up by a caricature. In short, journalling is good for your mental health.

Another thing to consider is that our memories fade over time. What is clear in our minds today may just be forgotten a few years down the line. Logging what’s happening in our lives could trigger memories when we read our diary entries back in years to come, or could act as an insight into our past selves. We can see our development, or be reminded of exciting flashpoints in our lives. The person who was annoying us and you drew a doodle of five years ago may now be a close friend, or something that you were once scared of may now seem funny.

So, if you have something on your mind, it might be good to get things written down. And if something exciting happens, writing about it may help you to remember that wonderful time!

For young people in Ghana, in West Africa, it’s not easy to learn the necessary skills for work and life. The school system has many problems: the quality of teaching is variable, and sometimes teachers don’t come to work at all.

It’s particularly difficult for Ghanaian girls to get a good education. Normally, they’re expected to leave school when they are young, and get married.

A new education project, called Making Ghanaian Girls Great, is trying to improve girls’ education, by offering extra lessons in English and maths.

The project provides lessons on television, from a studio in Accra. Teachers in the studio can talk to pupils in their classrooms, and the project also offers after-school lessons – called Wonder Women lessons – designed to increase girls’ confidence. In these lessons, girls can ask questions about health, education or careers – and they can also talk to role models.

The project was launched by Nana Ogyedon Tsetsewah, a local leader in central Ghana. Nana says that young people in Ghana are frustrated, and they don’t want to work as farmers any more.

Head teacher Vanderwell Augustt Gordor welcomes the extra lessons. It’s a much more active style of learning, he says, and the pupils like joining in.

Ghana has invested in education, in order to increase national income. “Education is the key to development,†said Anthony Klopka, a local politician. But until now, he says, girls’ education has not received enough attention.

Because of projects like Making Ghanaian Girls Great, perhaps this situation is starting to change.

1.Can these glasses be used for special occasions? For example, for night driving, or other special occasions? Or just everyday wear
2.Does the lens also have impact resistance like ordinary sunglasses? Level1.

About style 0VE4426BU 148/1W54 : I noticed that the remark of this model is sunglasses. In China, the grade of sunglasses is from 0N to 4N, but I found that this model is marked as “NO APPLICABLE”. If so, we can’t call this model sunglasses, does it really not even have a 0N?

I have two questions:

1)Style 0VE4426BU 148/1W54 says it’s “NO APPLICABLE”. It has to fall into the range from 0N – 4N to be sold as sunglasses in China. If it is not in this range, then we can only sell them as opticals, not as sunglasses.

2) Do 0VE1283 1002 56 and 0VE3320U GB1 56 have Level1. impact resistance like sunglasses?

Have a good day!

Hannah
