When I was in elementary school, there was a family gathering and I found that adults drinking a black tea that tasted very strange and had a little burnt taste. So I asked them what it was. Can I have a sip too?” That was the first time I drank coffee, the taste I will never forget, really hard to drink, too bitter. I don’t know why adults like to drink such tea, the taste is worse than beer. That’s what I thought at that time.

Once when I was in elementary school, there was a family gathering and I found that the adults were drinking a black beverage that tasted very strange and had a little burnt taste. So I asked them what it was. I asked, “can I have a sip too?” That was the first time I drank coffee. I will never forget the taste because it is really hard to drink and way too bitter for a 10 year-old kid. I didn’t know why adults like to drink such tea/beverage, the taste is worse than beer. That’s what I thought at that time.

But once I was attracted by a commercial shown on TV, the backstory at the time was a couple entertaining guests at home, when suddenly the doorbell rang and a guest came to the door with 2 jars, one coffee-colored and one white. The brand was very popular in the 1990s, and its name was Nescafe, and I still remember the tagline “It tastes great”. After that also learned that coffee can be added to coffee mate or milk, as well as put sugar, so that the taste of coffee is not too bitter.

After  Nescafe also launched 1+2 coffee, so that the coffee is very easy to carry. A small coffee package contains coffee + coffee mate + sugar. Every time you go out, you can just drink it with boiling water.
After that I started a daily coffee habit in college and it has continued until now. This is the story of my exposure to coffee.
