Vocabulary

mislead – to cause someone to believe something that is not true

greenwashing – when companies, organisations and the government mislead people into thinking that their products/services are good for the environment

word of mouth – by being told by another person

ex. Word of mouth is usually the best form of marketing.

ex. We found this place by word of mouth.

vague – not very clear

ex. Advertisers try to market eco-friendly terms in a vague way.

Where did the term come from? 

A guy travels to Fiji and then he finds a sign that says “Pick up these towels to save coral reefs”.

I think those people who buy the companies products are quite stupid.
