Vocabulary

speech – a formal talk that you give to a group of people

ex. Sofia needs to deliver a speech for the last round of this competition.

perform – to entertain people by dancing, singing, acting etc.

ex. Group 3 will perform shortly after the break.

put on a (talent) performance – to show others a skill that you have

trophy – jiang bei

achievement – sth done successfully by working hard

ex. Sofia’s biggest achievement is winning many dance competitions.

Grammar

first place/second place/third place  or gold/silver/bronze 

ex. I got first place in the swimming competition.

ex. I won a gold medal.

The title will be given at the last two days. And next round, I will have a play.

The title of the speech will be given on the last two days. And next round, I will have to put on a performance.

Part 3, I will perform a play to everyone and have a speech about that.

For part 3, I will perform a dance for everyone and make/deliver a speech about that.

Latin dance is very important for me because learning dance for four years because dancing make me very happy, and I have many competitions for that. I do very well for all the competition. I have many trophy too. I have six first and three second. I like dancing because I am very good and the teachers can let me dance very well. At first I didn’t learning Latin dance, I learning Ballet. When I five, I chose Latin dance because I have the talent to dance so I chose that.

Rewrite: 

For today, I chose to put on a Latin dance performance because I have been learning this dance type for four years, and it brings me happiness to share my achievements with all of you. My love for dance started at the age of 5, where I have been lucky enough to meet wonderful teachers who have helped me to shape my talent. Since then in 3 years, I have won several trophies from many competitions. I am proud to say that I can, and I will continue to follow the footsteps of many talented dancers.
