In today’s class, we talked about Dodo’s sleeping habits.

Next Class Focus

Let’s create more opportunities to practice using ‘such as’ and ‘like’. Let’s avoid saying ‘such like’

Vocabulary

Inertia – this word is used in science to describe something that continues to move unless it is stopped. We cannot use this word to describe sleeping habits. This is because sleeping habits do not move. Instead, you can say ‘it will be hard to change his sleeping habits’ or ‘we can only change his sleeping habits over time’.

Ordinary – not unusual / not special
I have had an ordinary day
I’m an ordinary girl

Normal – not strange (often used to talk about things that can be strange AND to talk about health issues)
My eating habits are normal
The doctor said Dodo’s sleeping habits are not normal
