Grammar

You made two mistakes repeatedly in today’s class.

1. You used ‘let’ with ‘to’.
   e.g. I let him to brush his teeth.
   You should say ‘I let him brush his teeth’.
2. You used ‘listen’ without ‘to’.
   e.g. He will listen a story.
   You should say ‘he will listen to a story’.

The other mistakes you made were not so serious.

these days it’s raining outside
these days it’s been raining outside (use ‘it’s has been + verb 4’ or ‘it’s been + verb 4’ to show that it started before and continues now)

brush the teeth (this seems like there are some special teeth in your home that he must brush)

maybe he don’t want to go to bed, like when you are young
maybe he doesn’t want to go to bed, like you when you were young

when he go to bed he will cry
when he goes to bed he will cry

Vocabulary

get the ball rolling – to start the process

once in a blue moon – very rarely

put him to bed – natural way to say ‘help him to go to bed’.

wet the bed – natural way to say ‘pee in the bed’.
