Last Sunday, we went bouldering in Shanghai. The last time I did it was in 2013. Ten years ago, I used to went bouldering every Tuesday evening for about 3 years. However, after starting my high school study in a boarding school , I stopped my bouldering training routine.

The bouldering venue we chose is very large and well organized, totally different from the climbing club I went in childhood, which was crowded and dark. The day pass is quit expensive, approximately 180yuan for one person, which includes the liquid chalk and the rental of climbing shoes. (Surprisingly founded that the day pass in hk is more expensive than shanghai, the average fee is about 280hkd….) It’s the first time I used liquid chalk, I only used normal chalk with chalk bags in the past. There are various routes there. The start points and the end points of routes are marked by tapes, and they used V Level to classify the difficulty of the routes, each level has its own color to represent.

Before starting, I were a little unconfident and anxious, since I were afraid of forgetting how to do it. After I hold the stone and started climbing, my body know how to respond to it immediately. It was so amazing that the the body memory lasted much longer than brain. I really enjoyed the feeling of activating all muscles to solve problems. During the rest time, we talked with an aunt who challenged the same route to get information about bouldering venues and climbing clubs in Shanghai. She answered our questions very friendly.
