Recently I have fallen in anxiety because I will have a conversation about Chinese ecommerce with my dotted-line boss whom is a france woman. She is responsible for global etail dep.
My concerns ralate two aspect, first is my english is not good, nither vocabulary or grammar, I cannot expressing my idea or opinion accurately, espacially opportunities and challenges in China. Second is I’m afraid I will not be able to hear her France-accent English clearly.
Essentially, I am afraid give a bad first impression to her, and make her think I’m not qualified for this job.
Our first conversation maybe at 26-28th global bootcamp, although it will be a video conference. So I need to make enough prepare for our business in China and the change or trends of our competor and platform.
I hope I could make some interaction wih her about ecommerce, not embrrass my self. At least, even cannot express very well, she is willing give me time to learn and grow up, I won’t lose my job.

Recently I have fallen in anxiety because I will have a conversation about Chinese ecommerce with my dotted-line boss / my mentor / the director of global etail / my boss’ boss whom / who is a French woman who / and who is responsible for the global etail dep.
My concerns relate to two aspects of my English. First is my english is not good, neither vocabulary nor grammar, so I cannot / can’t express my idea or opinion accurately, especially about opportunities and challenges in China. Second is I’m afraid I will not be able to understand her France-accent English clearly.
Essentially, I am afraid of giving a bad first impression to her, and making her think I’m not qualified for this job.
Our first conversation will be maybe on 26-28th at the global bootcamp, although it will be a video conference. So I need to make enough preparations / I need to prepare enough to say about our business in China and the change or trends of our competitors and platforms.
I hope I could have some interaction with her about ecommerce, and not embrrass myself. At least, even if I cannot express my ideas very well, she will be willing to give me time to learn and (to) grow up, and I won’t lose my job.

I want to introduce the different trends of the platforms like the alibaba, JD, and douyin, like this. In Alibaba it believes the technology of the algorithm is the most important and it totally focuses on it so they put the all traffic into the algorithm so anybody cannot control or change the mechanism of the traffic, nobody cannot do that but in JD they believe / they think in the people and they think that the people are the most important thing / the staff should be making the decision about traffic because they think it’s more efficient than the algorithm so in JD they put some algorithm or power in different levels of staff, for example, directors have the more power than the supervisors.
