My friend and I went to see an exhibition named A Journey From Changā€™an this week, which is(?)on traditional Chinese painting by Shaanxi artists.itā€™s the first exhibition Iā€™v seen this year and luckily there werenā€™t many people.
The exhibition displays several set artworks from different local artists. Not only consists of traditional Chinese painting but also a few sketches. When I look back on it ,I felt it didnā€™t satisfy a craving for me,and I didnā€™t come across a work that resonate with me(?),but there were still some (paintings) drew my attention.
I noticed a painting which depicted a group of Tang Dynasty style women who playing with instruments. Bold lines, lively points and calm, black planes came to me first ,which successfully made a lot of noise just like a music/a symphony.Furthermore, there were some typical blank areas on the pictures.By only using these simple visual elements, the artist conveys a feeling which mixed modern visual effect and traditional feature, thus, makes the panting looks concise, elegant and cheerful as well.
Similar to this, the painting that has a lotus pound in autumn was much more concise, because the artist only uses lines and dots in black.I think the brushstrokes of the painting which is the black part give power to it,and the white part bring calm and cold feeling.
Compared to this, another set of paintings on lotus plant was quite outstanding with its shiny surface, dark background and full composition. My friend pretty appreciated these images, she said that she felt that they seemed like some evil power tangled and fought with light power.

I noticed a painting which depicted a group of Tang Dynasty style women who are playing with instruments. Bold lines, lively points and calm, black planes came to me first, which effectively / expertly / masterfully made a lot of noise just like a music/a symphony. Furthermore, there were some typical blank areas on the picture / canvas. By only using these simple visual elements, the artist conveys a feeling which mixes modern visual effects and traditional features, thus, it makes / thus making the panting look concise, elegant and cheerful as well.
Similar to this, the painting that has a lotus pond in autumn was much more concise, because the artist only uses black lines and dots / the artist only paints in black, with lines and dots. I think the brushstrokes of the black part of the painting give power to it, and the white part bring a calm and cold feeling.
Compared to this, another set of paintings on lotus plants was quite outstanding with its shiny surface, dark background and full composition. My friend really appreciated these images, and (she) said that she felt (that) they seemed like some evil power tangled with and fighting with light power.
