slow speaking – self correction

We had dinner at last Friday with some of non-Chinese speaking colleagues, during the dinner time, I was practicing on speak slowly and trying to correct myself for some grammar mistake. It gives me a great sense of achievement, especially for some of the grammar mistake I was correcting myself while speaking that others didn’t realize it was a problem.

at = a point in time (5PM)
on = a day (you write your schedule on the paper)
in = month / year

today i bla bla  – don’t say “on”
today = this day 
next week – don’t say “on”

eg4. the pen, that Jesse bought, is black.
eg5. I went to Japan, which was a fun trip (going to Japan was fun)
