Researchers find out that players of a popular computer game have learned knowledge from games.

Red Dead Redemption 2 helped the gamers to learn how to identify real wildlife and predict animal behaviour.

There are about 200 animal simulations in the RDR2.

University of Exeter researchers found that the players were able to identify 10 of 15 animals in a quiz, three more than non-players.

The researchers from the University of Exeter and Truro and Penwith College in Cornwall, tested more than 500 gamers for identifying pictures of real animals.

In the past years, the game designers were working on the game simulations and the world of game began to teach the players some real knowledges.

Take Assassin’s Creed Origins for example, the game designers recreated that landscape and its landmarks in great detail.

They put a “discovery tour” mode – where the player can roam the land with no fighting, listening to audio tours about the world around them.
