puberty: period where boys’ voice changes
ie. They went through puberty

spurt:  A sudden short burst, as of energy, activity, or growth

speculation/conjecture: guess (a little based on something)

rat/tattle tale: people who tell on others

bruises: injuries (purplish?)

braces: 牙套

ghetto: hood
