Vocabulary

there are less work – there is less work, so I don’t have much to do.

most of work we done – we have done most of our work


Get – to become, shows a change from one thing to another

eg: Don’t get angry, but I broke your phone.

it’s getting – show a long or slow change

eg: The weather is getting warmer this week.

eg: At first it was very fun, but now it’s getting boring.

eg: Our dinner is getting cooked. (It is cooking right now.)

eg: Our dinner is getting burned, we waited too long.   (It is burning now.)

eg: At the end of the year our projects are getting finished. (They will be finished before the end of the year.) (You are finishing them now.)

eg: She is getting beautiful as she is growing up.

eg: He practiced English every day, now his spoken English is getting better. / his spoken English is showing improvement.

to get (a N.) – to take it so you have it

eg: I am getting a dog.

solid – ice, wood

liquid – water, coffee, milk

gas – clouds

eg: These are the three forms of H2O.

eg: What is liquid ice?  Liquid ice is water, it is not ice.

eg: If ice is liquid, what do you call it? If ice is liquid we call it water.

eg: When water becomes a gas, we call it clouds.
