sth. came up – an interruption, making you stop what you were doing, to do another thing. And you don’t wanna say what you need to do.

eg: Sorry, I gotta cancel the meeting, something just came up and I have to go.

get over it – to let go of your negative emotions about sth.

eg: You need to get over her, you are always walking around all sad and lazy. Go on a date.

eg: I know we lost, but let’s just get over it and move on. So we can win the next time.

hover – 1. stay above the ground in one place without moving, like a helicopter.  2. to be too close to someone and always near them, and watching them

eg: Planes don’t hover, they fly.

eg: He is always hovering around me, he needs to stay out of my personal space.
