Vocabulary

water V. – to give sth, put water on it

eg: I said give the dog some water, not water the dog.

eg: Can you water my plants when I’m gone?

lease – a kind of contract or agreement where you rent something for a very long time

eg: We signed a lease for 70 years.

eg: I leased a new car. I will have it for 3 years, then I will lease another one.

raise V. – to help someone grow up

eg: We raised this dog since he was 1 year old.

traumatic (ADJ) – used to describe a very serious and mentally damaging experience or situation

eg: It was traumatic when she got kicked by that horse.

eg: I had a traumatic experience, I almost drowned when I was swimming.

trauma (N) – a very difficult or unpleasant experience that causes someone to have mental or emotional problems usually for a long time

eg: He is dealing with some trauma from his childhood.

traumatize (V) – to make trauma for someone

eg: Don’t traumatize that little puppy, he is very scared now.

eg: I was traumatized when I almost drowned.
