To – Explains why you are doing one Verb. (Verb to verb),     get ready to go,      I work to give my family a good life.    I run to stay healthy.

eg: I study English.

why? to do what?

eg: I study English to speak with my friends and family, like my in-laws.

Why do you workout?

I workout to be in good health.

To be in good health. / Because I want to be in good health.

Why do you live in Shanghai?

(I live in SH) To make money.


through – to go in and out of an opening, or something in the way. to the other side.

eg: Go through those doors and take a left.

eg: He drove his car through the wall.

Across – from one side to the other

eg: I will walk across the street.

Down: I take the elevator down.        Let’s go down the stairs.

Into: If you look into the car window, you can see nobody is inside.

Out of: If you look out of the window you can see the weather.
