What does “Make up ” mean?

What do you mean, “Make up class”?

Was it, that there wasn’t enough time for a make up class, or there wasn’t enough time for that one class?

It was… because there wasn’t enough time for that one class.

steep – a high angle, something that goes from very low to very high quickly

eg: The streets in San Francisco are very steep.

a make up (Thing) – one thing to replace what you missed before, or replace because there was a problem.

eg: Amy was sick last week, so she missed her exam. Can we schedule a make up exam for her?

eg: We have Monday off work, but we need to work Saturday as a make up day.

eg: Now we have enough time to make up that 20 minutes we missed last week.

make it up to someone – to do something good for someone, because you may have done something bad to them

eg: Sorry, I cancelled our dinner, I will make it up to you. We can have dinner next week.

eg: I will make your birthday up to you, I will throw a party for you.

eg: So sorry I missed it, I promise I’ll make it up to you.

eg: Sorry, I broke your phone, I will make it up to you.

either – one or the other, not both

eg: You can choose either blue or black.

eg: You either like it or you don’t, it’s not a big deal.

questionable – you are not sure about something, maybe its good or bad, you have some questions about it…   usually bad but you’re not sure.

eg: Some of the meat is very questionable.

eg: His methods are questionable.
