c0-dependent – depend on each other in a relationship

eg: They have a codependent relationship which is a little unhealthy, he wouldn’t even know how to do his laundry if she didn’t help him.

distinct – very different from all others, unique and easy to see the difference

eg: Halloween is a distinctly American holiday.

from scratch – cooking sth. from the most basic parts. NOT FROZEN MICROWAVED FOOD!

eg: I can’t cook a pie from scratch, but I can make a cake.

made–up – adj. created from the imagination; not true or real

eg: You made that story up, I don’t believe that Obama cooked dinner for you.

eg: That’s a made up story.

ban – no longer allowed

eg: Smoking is banned in public places in SH.
