When it comes to the most useful app in China, I guess most people will think of alipay. As the first app that can pay for bills, alipay has been incredibly successful in its area. It’s not hard to learn to use the app, you just need to create your own account and add at least one bank card, no matter debit card or credit card, then you no longer need your wallet when you are outside. Every time you pay a bill, all you need to do is unlock your account and let the cashier scan your code.
At the first, it was just used to pay things online. For example, when you buy some stuff on taobao, alipay is like a third party that can preserve your money until you practically receive goods. In a same way that sellers won’t deliver goods before they see payments in alipay. I guess it protracts benefits of both buyers and sellers in a smart way.
Of course, alipay has developed more and more different kinds of functions than it has before. One of them called yu’E Bao which you can put your money into it instead of a bank account so you can gain interests though it every day. The strength of it is that you can draw your money whenever you want without a time limit. Other function are also useful, such as didi Taxi, ShareBike, Credit Card Repay, buying movie tickets etc.
I have to say Hi-tech has been improving the quality of our life more and faster than we can imagine.
