flood N. V. – when there’s too much water

eg: There was a big flood in Beijing a few years ago.

eg: Be careful this river floods every summer.

eg: My wechat was flooded with messages from my work.

eg: I’m swimming in messages from work.

eg: I’m drowning in wechat messages.

drowning – dying in the water, can’t breathe

inject – to put sth. into another thing

eg: Beijing will build the tallest building in the world. But not with Chinese money, they will pay for it with a Saudi (Arabian) cash injection.

drag someone along – bring someone who might not really wanna go

eg: I’ll drag lyn along with me, even though she doesn’t like swimming.

dragging – being lazy

eg: I’m really dragging today and not getting much work done.

whirlpool – water moving in a downward circle

eg: Whirlpools are very dangerous to swim near.
