Quitting my job was bittersweet because I don’t get a salary anymore, but I am free.
Sometimes it’s good and sometimes it’s bad to be predictable.

Carbonara – bacon and cream, pasta
grind (V.) ground (V. past tense) –
to crush or break (something) into very small pieces by rubbing it against a rough surface or using a special machine

Grind (up) the coffee beans into a fine powder.

The corn is ground into meal. This makes cornmeal. From cornmeal you can make cornbread.
b : to cut (meat) into small pieces by putting it through a special machine
Spaghetti – tomato sauce, minced/ground beef
yolk – the yellow part of an egg
ham – prosciutto or pancetta(Italian), bacon, pork belly
mince – cut into very small cubes/pieces
eg: Most jiaozi are filled with minced vegetables or meat
under the table – not formally, paid directly, avoiding taxes.
eg: They hired him under the table.
hazardous (ADJ) –
eg: Breathing the air in Beijing is hazardous to your health.
