Dark or Light

My skin got darker when I went to the beach.

My skin is really light now, because I stayed inside all winter.

tan – your skin is darker than usual

eg: I’m really tanned in the summer.

eg: I can never get a tan, I’m too white.

drink N. – a drink

eg: Do you want a drink?

soda – a drink like Coca-cola. or Sprite.

eg: I don’t really drink soda anymore.

Coconut – ye zi, a brown or green large round thing hanging in trees. Has water and a sweet white pulp inside.

eg: More people die from coconuts every year than from shark attacks.

packaging – material used to enclose or contain something

eg: The packaging was damaged so I think maybe the product is damaged too.

acne – small red bumps on your skin, usually face, can be from eating unhealthy foods with too much sugar

eg: My acne cleared up, after I quit drinking soda.

freckle – a small brown, darker spot on your skin

eg: I have a few freckles on my face.

pimples – small red bumps, like Acne

hopeless – you can not save them, you can not teach them, they will not get better or learn, you think there is no good chance

eg: She is hopeless, she really believes sugar will not make her gain weight.

eg: I will never get the job, it’s hopeless.
