Vocabulary

fragrances – substances, often liquid, that make things smell better

eg: Cologne and perfume are both kinds of fragrances.

eg: I don’t have much experience with fragrances. I’d like to get more.

extend – make longer

eg: They wanted to extend the opening hours of the store to increase business during morning rush hour.

xenophobic – a kind of prejudice, where people think everything and everyone in their country is inherently better

eg: We shouldn’t allow any xenophobic rules at the office. Everyone is equal.

expand – make bigger in general

eg: They are still expanding,

nationalist – a person who loves their nation a little too much

eg: Nationalism is pretty high in some countries.

patriotic – love your country

eg: Jacob seems very patriotic. Canada must be a nice place.
