Vocabulary
Corporate – Something done by a private company. “Corporate events,” are events that are arranged by a company, rather than “family events,” which are arranged by families.
Form a company – Putting a company together, establishing a company.
Deposit – The money you need to put to guarantee a business transaction. Like the rent of a retail store.
Market – China is a huge “market.” A place to sell business to.
Incentive Travel – A reward for sales people in a company, where they have the “incentive” of traveling somewhere.
Individuals – Single people, or just people in general. As opposed to “groups,” which are a lot of people.
Agency – A company that gives a service. Such as your company that does design services for LVMH.
Execute – Do something. Get the vendors to execute the proposal.
RFP – Request for proposal.
SOP – Standard operating procedures.
Liaise – Communicate and cooperate with.
Routine – Things that you do regularly. Something that you learn that makes you feel more comfortable.
Grammar
I am responsible for… – What you do at work, eg. I am responsible for establishing the guidelines for the shops and setting up window displays in the retail stores.
We liaise with the Hong Kong office… – Better than – We work together with the Hong Kong office
