‘get something/someone to do’ I often used with ‘finally’
-I had been waiting for 3 months, but I finally got the boss to listen to me.
-I fixed the TV for 2 hours and I just got it to work.
-I couldn’t make the computer work for 1 hour, but I just got it to turn on.
