Vocabulary

Obsession (n): 1- something or someone that you think about all the time. (adj: Obsessed / Obsessive)
E.g.: He’s always wanted to find his birth mother but recently it’s become an obsession.
E.g.: He has an obsession with cleanliness.
E.g.: Why are people so obsessed with money?
E.g.: She has been obsessed with this topic for the past month.
E.g.: He’s obsessive about punctuality.
E.g.: Stop being so obsessive about this!

Stutter (v): 1- speak or say something, especially the first part of a word, with difficulty, for example pausing before it or repeating it several times.
E.g.: She stutters a little, so be patient and let her finish what she’s saying.
E.g.: “C-c-can we g-go now?” stuttered Jenkins.

Recite (v): 1- to say a piece of writing aloud from memory, or to publicly say a list of things.
E.g.: She proudly recited the poem.
E.g.: The opposition party recited a long list of the government’s failings.

Introvert (n): 1- a person who prefers to be alone and who’s often seen as shy.
E.g.: As an introvert, it was difficult for him to make friends.

Extrovert (n): 1- an outgoing person, who enjoys and gets energized by being around other people.
E.g.: Most sales people are extroverts.
