Vocabulary

Raft (n): 1- a flat floating structure for travelling across water, often made of pieces of wood tied roughly together and moved along with a paddle.
E.g.: In Yangshuo you can take a bamboo raft down the Li River.

Rafting (n): 1- the use of a rubber raft to travel with the current of a river, especially as a sport.
E.g.: The camp offered bicycle tours, river rafting, fishing, and hiking.

Time-lapse (n): 1- used to refer to a method of filming very slow actions by taking a series of single pictures over a period of time and then putting them together to show the action happening very quickly.
E.g.: Raph took a time-lapse video when he went bamboo-rafting in Yangshuo.

Exhibition (n): 1- an event at which objects such as paintings are shown to the public, a situation in which someone shows a particular skill or quality to the public, or the act of showing these things.
E.g.: The photographs will be on exhibition until the end of the month.

Genuine (adj): 1- If something is genuine, it is real and exactly what it appears to be.
E.g.: If it is a genuine Michelangelo drawing, it will sell for millions.
