Vocabulary

fight (v): 1- to use physical force to try to defeat another person or group of people. 2-to argue.
E.g.1: There were children fighting in the playground.
E.g.2: I could hear them fighting about money again.

hang out (v): 1-to spend a lot of time in a place or with someone.
E.g.: They spent the whole day hanging out by the pool.
E.g.: You still hang out at the pool hall?

gossip (n): 1- conversation or reports about other people’s private lives that might be unkind, disapproving, or not true
E.g.: Jane and Lyn sat in the kitchen having a good gossip about their friends.

gossip (v): 1-to talk about other people’s private lives.
E.g.:People have started to gossip about us.

survive (v): 1-to continue to live or exist, especially after coming close to dying or being destroyed or after being in a difficult or threatening situation. 2-to continue to live after someone, especially a member of your family, has died.
E.g.1: The front passengers were lucky to survive the accident.
E.g.2: He is survived by his wife and four children.

Grammar

My friend told me about her– this is correct but it doesn’t sound native, cause it implies that you got only ONE FRIEND.
Correct would be- A friend told me…/A friend of mine told me…
