shallow (adj): 1- having only a short distance from the top to the bottom:
E.g.: The stream was fairly shallow so we were able to walk across it.
E.g.: She told her children to stay in the shallow end (of the swimming pool).

burn your boats/bridges-If you are in a situation and you burn your boats/bridges, you destroy all possible ways of going back to that situation.

conveyer belt (n): 1-a continuous moving strip or surface that is used to transport objects from one place to another.
