Vocabulary

flavor (n): 1- how food or drink tastes, or a particular taste itself:
E.g.: Add a little salt to bring out the flavor of the herbs.
E.g.: My fish was delicious but Charles’ beef had almost no flavor (= did not taste of anything).

spicy (adj): 1- containing strong flavors from spices:
E.g.: Do you like spicy food?

spice, spices (n): 1-a substance made from a plant, used to give a special flavour to food:
E.g.: Cinnamon, ginger, and cloves are all spices.

grind (v): 1-to make something into small pieces or a powder by pressing between hard surfaces:
E.g.: to grind coffee
E.g.: Shall I grind a little black pepper over your salad?

grind your teeth​-to make a noise by rubbing your teeth together:
E.g.: She grinds her teeth in her sleep.

powder (n): 1-a loose, dry substance that consists of extremely small pieces, usually made by breaking something up and crushing it:
E.g.: curry/chilly powder
E.g.: talcum powder
E.g.: A packet of white powder was found and police scientists are analysing it.

curry (n): 1-a dish, originally from South Asia, consisting of meat or vegetables cooked in a spicy sauce:
E.g.: a hot (= very spicy) curry
E.g.: a mild (= slightly spicy) curry
E.g.: vegetable/chicken/lamb curry

sauce (n): 1-a thick liquid eaten with food to add flavour:
E.g.: a savory/sweet sauce
E.g.: tomato sauce

bark (n): 1- the hard outer covering of a tree 2-树皮

wireless (adj): 1-无线
E.g.: a wireless connection

polite (adj): 1- behaving in a way that is socially correct and shows understanding of and care for other people’s feelings:
E.g.: I’m afraid I wasn’t very polite to her.
E.g.: She sent me a polite letter thanking me for my invitation.
E.g.: He was too polite to point out my mistake.

impolite: 1- rude: opposite of polite
E.g.: impolite language/behavior
E.g.: It is impolite to point at people.

litter (n): 1- small pieces of rubbish that have been left lying on the ground in public places:
E.g.: About two percent of fast-food packaging ends up as litter.

litter (v): 1-to spread across an area or place untidily:
E.g.: The park was littered with bottles and cans after the concert.
E.g.: Dirty clothes littered the floor of her bedroom.
