F2F Class Notes (Mike)

男巫的故事整个秀里我最爱的部分。为此我拜访了超过3次酒店，拼凑完整了男巫故事线的拼图。每次看完戏，我都会在附近的星巴克经脑海中的画面快速的sketch下来；最终，花费2个礼拜的时间，构思创作完成了这幅作品。

The story of the Boy Witch is my favorite part in SNM. In order to complete the whole story, I visited the McKinnon Hotel three times. Every time after I finish visiting the hotel, I would go to the closest coffee shop to quickly sketch down what I just saw and my inspirations. Two weeks later, I finished this work.

这幅画用Penrose stairs的艺术形式，将男巫角色在整幢楼的表演动线，以及作为白面具的我和演员之间许多的互动时刻巧妙地串联和融合在了一起，最终以勾素描肖像和场景勾勒的手法表现出来。

This work is inspired by the Penrose Stairs. The Boy Witch is the main connecting character throughout the whole story and we are infusing a variety of storylines together, including the interactions between performers and audiences. The whole scene uses a combination of Western sketching skills on the main characters and Eastern portraying techniques on the overall stage outline.

酒店5层的建筑里，男巫和不同角色的相互交织，和观众不同地点的戏剧互动。 我打破了时间和空间的规则，用一张凝固式样的画作讲述了一个将近三小时的流动着的故事。这是对一个戏剧作品新的记录方式。 all in one？all for one？

Set in a 5-store building, the show is characterized by The Boy Witch’s interwoven connections with other participants, creating a vibrant theatrical interaction. Unlimited by the rules of space and time, I present this 3-hour long story in one page, making it a novel expression of a creative art piece.

All in one? All for one?

故事的主角-男巫，以饱满的情绪肖像方式展现在作品的左下角。他既是故事的演绎着，也是这些互动时刻的创造者（推动者），同时也是这个故事的讲述者-总是唱着那首动人/熟悉的 mfv。

The main character of the work, The Boy Witch, is shown at the bottom to the left of the sketch with rich and vivid facial expressions. He is not only a significant part of the show, but also a crucial creator of the interactions with others. In some of the scenes, he is also a storyteller and a singer, one who sings a song of reminiscence: My Funny Valentine.

这幅画特殊复杂的构图和snm所营造的光怪陆离的氛围，以及故事不断轮回的，矛盾神秘的感觉相呼应。

之后，我和画作中的演员也交流过，这个秀无论对于观众还是对于演员来说：It‘s a story，a fiction，but the feelings，that’s true！

而这幅画就是将这些真实的东西记录了下来！

The eccentric feeling generated by this complex sketch and SNM goes hand in hand with the mysterious and flowing ambience of the show.

After the work was completed, I talked with some actors who will be in the show, a common feedback they gave is: It’s a story, a fiction, but the feelings are true and genuine!

This is what my sketch is all about: capturing the truth and translate it into art.
