A: I know a student who is Shanghainese, recently he met many foreigners and make friends with them. I’m not Shanghainese and he has a strong confidence in his own saying. Today he just chatted with me on we chat and I asked him, I’m considering changing my job, do you have any recommendation, it’s a little harder to find a job in Shanghai, even foreigner becomes more harder than before. Not long ago, we chatted, he showed his disagreement to people who is not Shanghainese but live in Shanghai. He said “shanghai is a very modern city and this city can’t accept more people, especially the people who have low work ability, shanghai is trying to put them out.”

A: when i was young, about ten years old, i went to small shop to buy some ice-cream, but i spoke Mandarin, the man there refused to sell it to me, and made me to speak Shanghainese.

A:some people in my office make fun of me, said I’m fat.

I think more important is we always the same topic, we can discuss and talk, when we met something, we can make the same decision. Even if we have disagreements, we can discuss. but my husband always refuse to have a discussion.
