Speaking exercise

There are so many boot-lickers in the company I am working. The boss likes boot-lickers more than those guys who are working hard. I don’t think it’s a good phenomenon for a company which is running well.

If it last continuously, it will hurt the confidence of those guys who are involved in the real work project and something to do with their career.

Recently, some colleagues of mine resigned. They are allergic to office politics. They prefer hardworking rather than boot-licking actually.

When possible, try to use a NOUN rather than a GERUND 动名词. This makes your sentences more flexible; this way you can add adjectives easily.

I like hard working –> I like hard work.
I need a short resting –> I need a short rest
I need long-sleeping –> I need a long sleep.
