The North and South of china have many differences (noun), mainly in the dialects、diets、and the weather.
There is a lot of rain in the South, especially in June and July every year. It is called mold rain season by the locals.As a person from the North, I feel that the weather in the South is very humid. But when the mold rain season is finished, the weather returns to normal. However, the amount of rain fall in the North is less than in the South, so the air can be quite dry. I think that no matter which city you live in, it has strengths and weaknesses.

Because the climate、culture and the other reasons are different while the diet happen to change in the different city.

Due to the fact that the climate, culture and other factors are different in the North and South, their diets also happen to be different.

They like eating rice in the South. In the north, people, other than eating rice, also like to make all kinds of foods with flour. In fact, the climate in the North is suitable for growing wheats、corns and sorghums that can resist the cold. However, the temperature is high and it rains often in the South, so people would grow rice because it likes water and warmth.
