Anesthesia- When you give someone medicine so they don’t feel any pain.

e.g. Yesterday, I gave that patient local anesthesia before the doctor began the surgery.

Numb- The feeling you get when you get local anesthesia

e.g. My entire face was numb after I left the dentist’s office

Reflex- Something that you do very quickly or naturally, like saying “Ouch” when you hurt yourself.

e.g. I bit my tongue, and by reflex, yelled out loud.

Cosmetic surgery- Surgery that is only done for beauty reasons or appearances.

e.g. Veneers are considered to be a type of cosmetic surgery because they are not necessary for patients.

we have lot of foreign patients- We have a lot of foreign patients (don’t forget the a lot )

the patient might bite his or her tongue or the inside of her cheek.
