As we all know, we will tell coaches that we are very nervous about the driver’s license. But they will answer you : “Don’t worry, pedestrians should be nervous”. Another example is as follows:

• Coach:Did you see that man [who is] walking now?
• Me: Yes,I did.
• Coach:Run him over with the car.
• Me:No, I can’t.
• Coach:Well, so why don’t you brake your car then.

Grammar: Thalia, be careful about these mistakes !

• 可数名词 = “a”, “the” or plural 复数
  • remember: “the” means we all know which one
• one sentence has one subject and one verb
• singular or plural? the person =/= the people
• verbs should be at the same tense. Do not mix 过去式 with other tenses like 现在时 or 未来时 !

• talk 没有宾语. Use tell
  • You talk a story –> You tell a story. 
  • I talked the coach that I was worried –> I told the coach I was worried.
• nervous about
• why don’t you 什么什么 = 你什么什么吧
  • Why don’t you come have dinner with me tonight?
  • Why don’t we see a movie together?
  • Why don’t you brake a little? You’re going a bit fast.
• then = 那
  • “I don’t want to see a movie.”, “Then let’s stay home”
