broken promise/empty promise– a promise that never happens, a worthless promise

eg. I break up with my ex-boyfriend because he always gave me broken promises.

gamble-bet with money, play games using money in hopes of winning

eg. Gambling is legal is come states in the US.

Four years ago I traveled to los angelos because my cousins sister was living in Los angelos. I stayed in LA for two months. At that time I just quit my job and I can have a long term vacation to visit my sister. I came to San Fran,  LA, santa monica,  Las Vegas, and Yosemite National Park. I loved America it was beautiful view for me. I made a lot of friends here. The weather was very weird for me because I went to LA in november I should it should be winter. And I took a lot of clothes for me. I found it was very hot in the day and very cold in the night. I need to weared clothes and get offt the clothes. And maybe 4 or 5 oclocke I weared it again.

At least six people died and 15 are missing after a pleasure cruiser sank into a reservoir near Medellin in Colombia.

People rescued most of the passengers, around 130, and the search for the missing passengers continues. Families, friends and residents are devastated by the incident, which the police are investigating as a crime. People laid flowers next to the lake in response to the incident.

There had been complaints about a lack of life jackets on board the ship.

Difficult words: pleasure cruiser (a boat that people ride to have fun), reservoir (a man-made lake), devastated (very sad and shocked).
