counter= a table in a shop usually between customer and shop-owner

shop=a place to buy and sell things

We talked about different people, different places, different clothes in stories. In Grandma’s surprise, Florence could understand the bulk of the story but has trouble with details. For example, she did not really know what a mosque is, what a needle is and what a surprise is. To guarantee better comprehension, parents can ask questions while Florence is reading to check if she fully digested all the information. In Red Ted at school,  Florence got a bit confused about the character’s names. She really loved reading the books and enjoyed reading it herself. That is the most important thing and I encourage giving her enough space to develop her interest in reading.
