Last class, we don’t have enough time. –>
Last class, we didn’t have enough time.

leave / left / left 离开，剩下，留
I will leave money on the table for you.
Money will be left on the table for you.

There are 2 questions left = 还剩了两个问题
There are no questions left = 没剩了。

There were only 2 questions. =  原来只有两个问题。-

Something left needs to be solved –>
Something still needs to be solved. (one verb is enough, you don’t need to use leave + need together)

Yesterday, 2 things left and we really want to solve them immediately. –>
2 things are left and we really want to solve them immediately.
“2 things left” = “两个东西离开了”

I forgot leaving my mobile phone in the office –>
I forgot leaving my mobile phone in the office (one verb is enough. Don’t use more)

Vocabulary
