Review:

careful – normal meaning = to be focused (can be used in many situations)

cautious – normal meaning = to avoid danger

apartment complex – xiao qu

What kind of food will you have (that restaurant)? = What kind of restaurant is it?

• Chinese/Western/Thai food/ Japanese

I like eat chicken/beef and starbucks – They will serve Chinese food, I hope it’s chicken and beef.  Maybe I will go to starbucks first.

I always have a good by my phone – I always order food on my phone.

Cafeteria/canteen:  a place to buy/ eat food, usually you line up and choose from pre-cooked meals.

• Mostly at schools.

Eg.  My roommates and I never go to the cafeteria to eat food.

Dorm/dormitory:  the place you live while at university/college.  Usually more than one person in a room.

Eg:  I keep some bread in my dorm to eat for breakfast.

Eg.  I usually wash my clothes in my dorm.

Showerhead:  the metal appliance that water comes out of so that you can shower.

Eg.  There are many showerheads in one bathroom.

Shower stall:  a separate area for showering, with a curtain or a door.  (1 person at a time)

Eg.  The girls bathrooms have shower stalls.

1 per floor = one common area on each floor

washing machine:  a machine to wash your clothes.

Eg.  I never use the washing machine because it is too dirty.

When does your school let out for summer vacation? = What month do you take a break in?

I don’ t like our school food because the food in cafeteria are the same every day.  So I order food on my phone to eat in my dormitory.  This makes me stronger because the food is delicious and I like it.  There is just one bathroom in our floor, but there are many showerheads in it.  So we don’t waste a lot of time on shower.  But in girl dorm there is a shower stall in each dorm.  But the boys not.  There is a washing machine in each floor, and someone will use it to wash their clothes.  But I never.   Overall I like living at University.
