ex: Women care about the efficacy of their skin products.

silicone (sil – i – kohn): a chemical ingredient used in a lot of cosmetics.
ex: Many women prefer shampoo without silicone in it.
sulfate (sull – feyt): another chemical ingredient. Used in some cosmetics or shampoo.
ex: Sulfate in shampoo may be bad for your hair.
volumizing: a product that would make your hair bigger.
ex: Women like volumizing products to give them bigger hair.

ex: The toner is an important step of skin care.
Acne (ak – knee): bad skin, usually has zits or pimples on it. A build up of dirt under the skin.
ex: Many teenagers experience acne.
pores: the skin openings where dirt can build up, but also used to sweat.
ex: My pores get blocked easily with dirt.
bullseye: the very centre of something
ex: The aim is to always hit the bullseye.
understated: doesn’t draw a lot of attention, but is good, or has high value.
ex: The outfit was understated, and elegant.
ex: The skincare product was understated, and had high efficacy.
progressive: looking for progress, change or improvement. Could be a product, or a person’s point of view.
ex: I look for progressive thinkers as employees.
