Review continued:

Oblivious: (adj) clueless, unaware or doesn’t have a clue.

Ex:  The oblivious woman didn’t know that her boyfriend was cheating on her.

Ex:  The clueless woman….

Ex:  She was oblivious about the content of this meeting so she had no clue what to say.

Lavender (laah – ven – der)

Scooter/Moped:  a bike with an engine, powdered by battery or gasoline.

Ex:  I don’ t like riding a scooter because it’s too dangerous.

Ex:  Diesel powdered scooters are now illegal in China.

Diesel:  a type of oil that powers transportation.  (different from gasoline, but similar).  Black/ or darker exhaust/smoke comes from diesel powdered cars/scooters.

Front Porch/ Front steps/ Front door/ Back porch/ Back door/ Back steps

Patio (pah – tee – oh):  another word for porch.

Ex:  We cooked lunch on the BBQ and ate it on the patio.

Ex:  My cat likes to go on the patio and chase mice.

Ex:  There is seldom any patio in front of the houses nowadays – It is seldom to see a house with a patio in front of it nowadays.

Pull out couch/ hide – a – bed – mattress is hidden

Futon – the mattress is the couch

Mattress:  the thick foam/ bed that you sleep on.

Ex:  Some old people don’t like sleeping on a mattress because it’s too soft for them.

Shed – He goes to the shed to fetch the tools. 

• Woodshed: a shed to store wood.

Oblivious, Scooter, Diesel, Patio, Futon, Mattress, Shed

A woman who is driving a scooter with a mattress behind her.  And she is oblivious about the man who comes to her so she hit him.  She felt so sorry to him but the man doesn’t hurt that so bad, so he forgives her.  He saw she is taking this huge futon, and then he asks her where she wants to go.  And she says that she wants to deliver this futon to her little shed but her scooter is running out of diesel.  Then the man tells her it’s not good to use diesel, maybe he can lend her some gasoline.  The gasoline is storaged on his patio, he wants to go back to fetch it and it just takes a few minutes.  So he asks the woman to wait for him.

She is oblivious about the man who walks in front of her, so she hits him.  She feels so sorry, but the man is not hurt that bad, so he forgives her.  He sees she is pulling this huge futon, and then he asks her where she wants to go. She says that she wants to deliver this futon to her little shed, but her scooter is running out of diesel.  Then the man tells her it’s not good to use diesel, maybe he can lend her some gasoline instead.  The gasoline is stored on his patio, he wants to go back to fetch it and it will only take a few minutes.  So he asks the woman to wait for him.
