Vocabulary

Location (n): 1- a place away from a studio where all or part of a film or a television show is recorded.
E.g.: The documentary was made on location in the Gobi desert.

Anxiety (n): 1– an uncomfortable feeling of nervousness or worry about something that is happening or might happen in the future.
E.g.: Children normally feel a lot of anxiety about their first day at school.

Renew (v): 1- to increase the life of or replace something old (n: renewal)
E.g.: Every year I renew my membership of the sports club.
E.g.: The purchases are subject to annual renewal.

Capitalism (n): 1- a way of organizing an economy so that the things that are used to make and transport products (such as land, oil, factories, ships, etc.) are owned by individual people and companies rather than by the government. 2- 資本主義
E.g.: He firmly believe in the principles of Capitalism.

Communism (n): 1- a way of organizing a society in which the government owns the things that are used to make and transport products (such as land, oil, factories, ships, etc.) and there is no privately owned property. 2- 共產主義
E.g.: He wanted to spread the ideas of Communism to other parts of the world.

Progressive (adj): 1- Progressive ideas or systems are new and modern, encouraging change in society or in the way that things are done.
E.g.: The left of the party is pressing for a more progressive social policy.

Conservative (adj): 1- not usually liking or trusting change, especially sudden change.
E.g.: Older people tend to be more conservative and a bit suspicious of anything new.

Liberal (adj): 1- (of a political party, a part of society, or a country) believing in or allowing more personal freedom and development towards a fairer sharing of wealth and power within society
E.g.: Liberals are protesting against the new law.

Movement (n): 1- a group of people with a particular set of aims.
The feminist movement has helped advance women’s rights all over the world.
