Vocabulary

Chilly  (a) – a little bit cold

e.g. It’s a little bit chilly in here.

To go viral (v) – when something suddenly becomes very famous through the internet

e.g. This video of a monkey scratching his head has suddenly gone viral.

To turn someone away (v) – to reject someone, to tell them to go away

e.g. Some people I’d never met came to my birthday party, but I turned away.

To come of age (v) – to become an adult, to become a “big” boy or girl

e.g. In most western countries, people come of age at age 18.

A tiara (n) – a sort of crown for princesses, more delicate and girly

e.g. The princess wore a beautiful tiara.

CORRECCTION

I am planning to travel two times. One time during Chinese New Year and the next time during spring. We have 7 days off during Chinese New Year, and I want to go on a vacation around Shanghai or Wuyi mountain with my parents. They worked hard for their whole life and now they are old so I would like to take them to travel to more places while they can still walk by themselves. For next spring I will plan to go abroad with our travel companions . An island is the best choice, but I haven’t decide which one to go to.
