I had a F2F interview today, and the interviewee is a consultant of my company. We did not give her offer because of several reasons. First, she could not describe her product clearly, which she have worked for morn than 3 years. We wanted a big picture of the product, but she always tangled with details which we didn’t care at all. Second, her communication skill was poor, because she didn’t respond us with our question. Third, she didn’t admit the things she didn’t know, but found excuses for herself. We like people who are honest and brave to admit their unknown areas.

Let her to describe the product. = We asked her to describe the product.

We don’t care about this. = This is not important to us.

Ex: Obama delivered a speech today  but we don’t care about it.

We don’t care for this. = We don’t like this.

Ex: We don’t care for the content of the speech.

withhold information – when someone hides something from somebody

Ex: Celeste withheld information from her parents that she was pregnant.

Ex: We always withhold information when we register for things on websites.

interviewee – person receiving the interview

interviewer – person giving the interview

bare bones of something – basic structure of something

fluff/fat – extra stuff

Ex: My CV has the bare bones of where I went to school and where I worked but it also has extra fluff like my hobbies and passion and my characteristics.
